NativeSpeak is a two part system which assists Revolution Developers to offer their applications to speakers of different languages (for example English and French) without needing to develop different versions of their code for each language.
NativeSpeak Create includes the library and the IDE, for use by the developer of the software.
Using NativeSpeak Create, a developer working say in English, can create code which is entirely English-based, including all text that the user of the application sees, and subsequently switch all those texts to another human language without any manual alteration in the code or manual adjustment of the size and spatial relationships between the various objects containing the text.
NativeSpeak offers an enhanced geometry manager. Without this, as objects size are updated, your UI will break from one language to another. As anyone who has tried to translate software knows, its not just about the language. Different languages require different lengths of text, and a simple button saying "Quit" can become an unexpected nightmare in your application, with overflowing text upsetting the entire geometry of your carefully laid out screen.
