Take control of your music. Tunelet is a self-contained, all inclusive iTunes sidekick that runs completely from the Mac OS X menubar. It is accessible from anywhere and does not interrupt your current workflow or hide parts of your screen.

Picture this scenario - you are listening to your iTunes music while doing something else on your Mac. An awesome song comes on, but you don’t remember the name. You switch over to iTunes to see what it is - perhaps give it a rating or play another song.

This has taken you completely away from from what you were previously doing. Perhaps you are using the iTunes mini player, but still this hides part of your screen - and we all know how valuable screen real-estate is. Isn’t there a better way?

Tunelet offers the following awesome features to enhance your music listening experience:

VIEW SONG IN MENUBAR
Tunelet can optionally show you the song and artist name for the currently playing song right in the Mac OS X menubar. This lets you see, at a glance, what song is playing - no need to click anything or switch to another app. Clean and simple.

CONTROL PLAYBACK
Tunelet provides easy access to the Play/Pause, Next and Previous buttons for those who prefer to use a mouse over keyboard controls.

CHANGE SONG POSITION
View the current song position along with the elapsed and remaining time. Simply click and drag to scrub forward or backwards in the song - without having to hear that nasty scrubbing sound as you drag.

SEARCH MUSIC
Feel like listening to a particular song? Just start typing in the song, artist or album name and then click on the result to instantly play it. When it finishes, iTunes will go right back to playing the next song in your queue.

ADJUST MUSIC VOLUME
Ever want to easily lower the iTunes volume rather than the system volume when watching a YouTube video, or talking on Skype, for example? Just move your mouse over the menubar item and scroll up or down.

SET RATINGS
Easily view and set a song’s rating by clicking on the stars. Alternatively, open Tunelet and press ⌘0-5.

SHOW IN ITUNES
Simply click on the album artwork to switch to iTunes and highlight the currently playing song.

LAUNCH ITUNES
If iTunes isn’t running, you will have the option to easily launch it right from Tunelet.

GLOBAL KEYBOARD SHORTCUT
Easily open Tunelet from anywhere by pressing the Ctrl-` keyboard shortcut. This can be disabled in settings, if you would prefer.
